ANNUAL APPEAL

Each year, Highfield, Masonic Home of Delaware reaches out to Delaware Masons through the Grand Master's Annual Appeal. The Delaware Lodge with the highest percentage of membership support is awarded the Virginius V. Harrison Award at Grand Lodge Day, generally held on the first Saturday in June.

MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTION

A memorial contribution is a very loving way for you to remember the death of a loved one or beloved friend. The family of the deceased will be notified by the Development Department of such gifts on your behalf.

GIFTS OF SECURITIES

Gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds and mutual funds are another way to donate. Appreciated securities have the additional tax advantage of being tax deductible at their appreciated value. The simplest and most efficient way to make a gift of this kind is to instruct your broker or banker to transfer the stocks to Highfield, Masonic Home of Delaware. Your broker may contact Highfield’s financial office at (302)995-1448 for transfer instructions and brokerage account information.

BEQUEST THROUGH YOUR WILL

A charitable bequest is the most common way of making a deferred or planned gift via donating assets to the Masonic Home upon your demise. A Will is the most flexible gift-planning tool. You may elect to provide a specific dollar amount, a piece of real or personal property, a percentage of the estate, all or a portion of the residue of the estate or any combination of the above. The following wording can be easily inserted into your will:

I bequeath to the Masonic Home of Delaware, located at 4800 LancasterPike, Wilmington, Delaware, 19807, the sum of $___________________.

Non-monetary gifts can be inserted as well.
